brief update of my very boring teaching life. it's been great so far, generally because i'm in a relatively decent school. and i'm afraid this unrealistic picture will no longer stay the same if i'm posted to another school after NIE. the girls have been rather loveable, i learnt from class yesterday that they still like beckham, hate miley cyrus and love robert pattinson and zac efron.

anyway, next week is the week before sept holidays, effectively only 3.5 days of sch cos of teacher's day (: then it'll be genting and kl with xinyi during the 1week break. can't waitttt for cheap movies, great weather and more shopping :D

during the national day celebrations at my school, we sang majulah singapura without any background music.it was the first time i ever bothered singing it out loud and not merely mouthing the words to keep myself safe from the discipline master.

hi everyone it's my 4th day here in taipei! poor acelyn's down with food poisoning so i went out alone myself the past 2 days. it was an experience travelling alone, felt like i was 101% taiwanese. went to danshui's food street yesterday and then grocery shopping at City Hall. i love grocery shopping in foreign countries (: it was hardcore shopping today. walked non-stop for 5hrs plus from gongguan to ximen to shilin. absolutely love night market shopping here, minus the crowds.

and i am starting to like the 20min walk thru the campus to the metro station every morning with my ipod plugged in and a cup of latte ( : so gonna miss the 18-degrees temperature.

had to post this before my other intended entries, because not only Uniqlo is coming to town, it's gonna be at the new Tampines shopping mall, Tampines 1 (to be opened on April 9 2009) ! Say bye to the hassle of going all the way to town to shop. i visited one of their outlets in hongkong and sadly didnt get anything as i was in a rush. this somewhat Japanese version of Giordano is definitely gonna be my source for basics :D

and guys ought to feel excited as i always thought there's really limited choices for guys in Singapore. H&M plus Uniqlo - as the Chinese saying goes, "good things come in pairs".

it was an emotional scene during cremation yesterday. i tried hard to hold back my tears but failed. anyhow, i'm fine now. it has been tiring the past 5days, had a good rest today and caught 7pounds just now. it wasn't as bad as what the reviews reflected, maybe because i'm a will smith fan (and also a fan of dark movies) :D

we were just looking through childhood photos cos my brother was searching for a picture of himself in primary school. and we found many similar photos like the one below. caps, plants/animals, no smiles. haha.

She was a great grandmother, always placing us before herself. She taught me many things, especially the many important principles in life that she strongly abide to. She would hold on tightly to my hand everytime i visited her and how i wished i could give her some strength in anyway. She fought hard in the hospital for almost 3months and left us on the last day of 2008. i'm sure she's in a better place now.

returned to the tanjong rhu campus yesterday. it's almost completed and they're shifting back next year. we had the honour of visiting it first! :D the place filled with our sec sch memories that we miss.

this is the extended part of the campus. i wouldnt say it's super nice cos it had to accomodate the old structure and design of the old campus but it really felt like home once again!

wahhh they got popular. i don't even remember us having any decent stationery shop.

i've always wanted this pair of studded sandals from steve madden but it costs USD129.95 before less so i could only admire it in stores and online.

BUT..guess what i was just browsing gojane's website earlier and i found a pair that is 90% similar! just few studs missing and the colour's slightly different. but good enough! and they cost only USD22.10 :D

finally the 2days at bigsplash's CBS is over. i'm left with a very painful burnt neck, a half-empty (or half-filled) wardrobe and a slightly richer me. the bazaar went not too bad at least i made some money with all the time and effort spent. i think i got cheated towards the end when items from zara and topshop were going at $12 and below. but i didn't care since i won't be wearing them anymore.

and the profits earned did me no good apparently. stepped into topshop and i think this season is their best ever. took me a long time to get this batwing zip tunic among all.

ok that took me really long. but anyhow it was great experiencing winter in hk. i just couldnt imagine us melting at the same places few months back. but cramps + cracked, bloody lips + headaches due to the cold made me rather angsty the first few days. i feel quite apologetic to my parents who put up with my nonsense. and being a tour guide aint all that fun but thankfully i could navigate well enough! :D looking forward to my next visit to hk again.

SQ ought to update its in-flight entertainment i was watching CSI and House instead of the movies :/it was already evening when we reached hk. so after settling our luggage at the apartment we headed to temple street for some claypot rice, ladies street and hui lau shan!! it was still as good as ever but i was freezing cold after gobbling down the whole bowl.

got our taicheong egg tarts after . the rest went to disneyland, my parents and i stayed around central for some shopping and pantyhose milk tea :D it was about 15degrees the first two days we were there and my cardigan wasn't exactly helping so i bought a uper thick jacket from H&M :D was so tempted to get more winter clothings but my mum stopped me.

headed back to wanchai after. my mum and i washed our hair at some cheapo salon there cos it was just too cold to do it ourselves.

we wanted to catch a movie but the timings were bad so we walked around mongkok instead. too bad the shops at fat yuen street were mostly closed by that time. they should seriously consider lengthening their opening hours.

2nights ago when we brought katrine, our danish group mate to chompchomp for dinner and drinks after. we played UNO till late, it was great fun!seafood buffet lunch today at seafood international, big splash/the playground. we cleared 30 out of the 40 dishes available and was already on the verge of puking. i doubt anyone will ever clear all 40. i would say the food was just so-so but we had a 10% VIP off from the manager since we interviewed him for our project! hahaha.

met up with georgie during her stay in hk! being a 'tour guide' is rather stressful cos i havent been paying attention to directions around hk since day 1! but i'm glad i figured it out anyhow. this is at yeeshun milk company to have my very last bowl of choc steamed milk ):didnt have accomodation for our last night we had to shift to another hostel for the night so major packing the night before and this is the result the following morning.

it was typhoon signal 8 that morning! you can't imagine how strong the winds were :S how suay can we get, we had to wait few hours before the uni bus came and pick us up to the new dorm.

FINALLY..after settling down at the new dorm we made our way SAFELY to our fave uni station and headed for daoxiang dimsum again :D
